The archaeological site of Hang Xom Trai and Mai Da Lang Vanh was ranked as a special national monument by the Prime Minister: The special national monument of Mai Da Lang Vanh, Yen Phu commune and Hang Xom Trai, Tan Lap commune, Lac Son district, Hoa Binh province are typical representatives of archaeological heritages with historical and cultural values over thousands of years of Hoa Binh culture. Discovered and excavated by French archaeologist M.Colani in 1929, it is the "home" of many generations of ancient Muong people. This is an event of great significance in the work of preserving and promoting the cultural values of the Muong ethnic group and Hoa Binh culture.
