Video on social media shows a Russian Lancet UAV attacking a Bukovel-AD system, which was developed by Ukraine to neutralize enemy UAVs.
The Voenacher Telegram account, which specializes in posting documents about Russian forces fighting in Ukraine, shared a video from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on May 5, showing the moment the Ukrainian army's Bukovel-AD electronic warfare complex was attacked.
The time and location of the video were not disclosed, but the South Front website, which monitors open-source intelligence data, said the attack took place near the towns of Kreminna and Svatove in Lugansk Oblast.

In the video, the Bukovel-AD complex is seen with its transceivers deployed, but it is unclear whether they are operational. The Russian suicide drone Lancet then crashes onto the vehicle's roof, in the area under the transceivers and on the electronic system. The massive explosion causes the Ukrainian electronic warfare complex to burst into flames and be completely destroyed.
The Russian Defense Ministry and the Ukrainian military have not commented on the video.
Bukovel-AD is an anti-UAV shield system developed by Ukraine and put into service in 2016. The manufacturer said the system can detect enemy UAVs from a distance of 100 km, jamming and disabling data transmission between the aircraft and the control station within a range of 20 km. This system also has the ability to block GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou satellite positioning signals.
Bukovel-AD can be mounted on various vehicles and takes about 2 minutes to go from marching to combat readiness.

The Lancet suicide UAV, launched by Russia in 2019, is capable of operating independently, without the support of ground or sea control systems. After detecting a target, the Lancet can rush to destroy it with the explosives it carries in its body. Sensors on the Lancet will record the process of rushing to the target and transmit images directly to the command post to evaluate the effectiveness of the attack.
The original Lancet variant has a range of 40 km and carries a 3 kg warhead, while the upgraded Lancet has a superior range and is equipped with a more powerful 5 kg warhead.
