This morning, August 17, the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) issued an urgent notice to training institutions (hereinafter referred to as universities), emphasizing a number of notes that the Ministry of Education and Training has instructed schools to implement.
In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training noted that schools are absolutely not allowed to re-examine candidates to remove them from the admission list after the last virtual filtering round.

The announcement said that according to the 2024 enrollment plan, August 17 is the last virtual filtering day with 2 virtual filtering times. The Department of Higher Education requested that schools increase human and material resources to perform well the enrollment and virtual filtering work. At the same time, review to ensure accurate enrollment, in accordance with regulations, procedures and within the prescribed time. Schools absolutely must not make mistakes when uploading the final expected admission result file to the system.
The announcement emphasized: "After the last virtual filtering round, it is absolutely not allowed to re-examine candidates to remove them from the list of successful candidates after the virtual filtering round. Training institutions are only allowed to announce the admission score after the last virtual filtering round. The announcement of the admission score must be accompanied by the announcement of the admission score scale and the announcement of additional criteria (if any)."
The announcement also reiterates the requirement that schools be autonomous in enrollment and be responsible for determining enrollment quotas and admission scores for the school's training majors and groups.
If the university determines that the expected admission list is not close to reality, leading to enrollment exceeding the registered quota, the university and the individuals involved will be fully responsible and will be handled according to Article 27 of the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Universities that do not meet their enrollment quota in the first round can continue to consider additional enrollment rounds.
