(NLDO) - From now until March 20, the inspection team of the Ministry of Education and Training will inspect the implementation of regulations on extra teaching and learning.
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) announced on the afternoon of February 21 that it had just issued a Decision to establish an inspection team to implement Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BGDDT regulating extra teaching and learning.

Accordingly, the inspection team is responsible for inspecting the implementation of Circular No. 29 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning according to the direction of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 10 dated February 7, 2025; regulations on inspection work of the Ministry of Education and Training issued together with Decision No. 1489 dated May 24, 2023 of the Minister of Education and Training and other relevant legal regulations.
The inspection period is from 20-2-2025 to 20-3-2025.
Previously, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , according to Circular No. 29 effective from February 14, the Ministry of Education and Training requires that no extra classes be organized for primary school students, except in the following cases: Arts, sports, and life skills training.
Teachers who are teaching at schools are not allowed to teach extra classes outside of school for money from students that the teacher is assigned to teach by the school according to the school's educational plan.
Teachers at public schools are not allowed to participate in the management and operation of extra-curricular teaching but can participate in extra-curricular teaching.
The Circular also stipulates that extra teaching and learning in schools must not collect money from students. Organizations or individuals organizing extra teaching and learning activities outside of schools that collect money from students must register their business according to the provisions of law. Teachers who are teaching at schools and participate in extra teaching outside of schools must report to the principal about the subjects, location, form, and time of participation in extra teaching.
According to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong, the Ministry of Education and Training's viewpoint is to have no extra teaching or learning in schools. The spirit of Circular 29 is "for an education with good values" and for the dignity of teachers.
