On the morning of March 20, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Coast Guard Command held a 2025 youth seminar, honored outstanding young faces and awarded the Vietnam Coast Guard Creative Youth Award 2024.

The program was attended by 652 cadres and youth union members at 10 locations across the country.
Reporting at the program, the Vietnam Coast Guard Command said that the unit currently has 131 youth organizations with 1,973 officers and members, working in all fields. In 2024, the Vietnam Coast Guard achieved many achievements in all fields.
In particular, the movement of the Vietnam Coast Guard youth to cultivate virtue, train talent, be proactive, creative, worthy of the title of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new period has been comprehensively deployed, creating motivation and urging each cadre and union member to promote the spirit of proactiveness and creativity of the youth, making breakthroughs in all areas of training, combat readiness, building a regular system, management, training and discipline.
In particular, the Vietnam Coast Guard forces directly participated in 401 ships and 224 boats operating in the sea areas, safely traveling 225,624 nautical miles. They fought, propagandized, and chased away 1,328 fishing boats; inspected and arrested 13 fishing boats; and successfully rescued fishing boat KG 91855 TS/17 fishermen detained by Malaysian forces in overlapping waters.
In addition, the forces also monitored, guided, arrested, investigated, and handled 1,308 cases/1,755 criminals and violators at sea and in coastal areas.
In 2024, the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" continued to be organized enthusiastically and effectively by agencies and units with 36 contests in 28 provinces and cities, attracting more than 94,000 students from 197 secondary schools to directly participate in the contest.
At the program, the Party Committee - Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard awarded certificates of merit to 9 outstanding young faces, 2 promising young faces and awarded the 2024 Vietnam Coast Guard Creative Youth Award to 2 groups of authors.
