Thereby contributing to creating the habit of using public transport among people, reducing personal vehicles, solving traffic congestion and minimizing environmental pollution.
Also according to Phuong Trang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company - FUTA Bus Lines, 11 bus routes operated by the company are free of charge for children 1.3m or taller; war invalids and sick soldiers (present war invalids and sick soldiers card).

The new batch of buses is fully equipped with cameras, ticket machines... ready to go into operation.
Previously, many bus passengers expressed their wish that Ho Chi Minh City replace many bus routes with new buses, because the old and degraded buses on some routes lead to lack of safety, environmental impact and reduced attractiveness to people.
16 bus routes with a total of 239 new buses put into operation in the city from April 1 are expected to contribute to improving service quality and meeting people's travel needs.
The fare for the route remains unchanged from the present, 6,000 VND per passenger, 135,000 VND/30 tickets. The fare for students is 5,000 VND.
Ho Chi Minh City currently has about 90 subsidized bus routes. Recently, the authorities have bid to operate the routes according to new criteria, and so far, more than 20 routes have been selected for operation, with a term of 5 years.
The bidding mechanism for operating routes helps create competition, select qualified units, improve service quality, and attract more bus passengers. The 5-year contract also helps businesses proactively develop plans, calculate revenue and profits to implement customer attraction plans.
