Accordingly, on March 19, the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University signed Decision No. 294/QD-DHQG on appointing Dr. Bui Thi Hong Hanh, Head of the Department of External Relations and Project Development, to hold the position of Principal of the Gifted High School from April 1, 2025.

Thus, from April 1, Professor Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City National University, will no longer hold the position of Principal of Gifted High School.

According to information published on the Fanpage of the Gifted High School, Dr. Bui Thi Hong Hanh was born in 1977, from Ben Tre, and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of education and university education management.

She has been Head of the Department of External Relations and Project Development since 2022, Deputy Director and then Director of the Institute of International Training during the period 2019-2022, Head of the Department of External Relations at the International University from 2014 to 2019.

With extensive experience in building international cooperation relationships, developing and managing educational and research cooperation projects, she has made many contributions to promoting cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City National University and domestic and foreign partners.

Ms. Bui Thi Hong Hanh studied at leading universities in Australia and Singapore. She received a bachelor's degree in biotechnology from the University of New South Wales (Australia), a master's degree in molecular biology from the National University of Singapore and a doctorate in biology from Griffith University (Australia) under scholarships from the Australian Government and the National University of Singapore.

With deep expertise in the field of biotechnology, she has been teaching and researching at the University of Natural Sciences and the International University for many years. Dr. Bui Thi Hong Hanh is expected to continue to promote the tradition and strengths of the Gifted High School in developing a pioneering educational environment, nurturing and nurturing talent.
