Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Sciences trains 2 new interdisciplinary majors
This year, the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) began enrolling students for a new university-level major, educational technology. At the same time, the school plans to open a new major in land economics. These are two new majors following the trend of interdisciplinary and inter-school training in the Ho Chi Minh City National University system.
In particular, educational technology is an inter-university training program approved by Ho Chi Minh City National University from 2024. To implement this program, the University of Natural Sciences trains knowledge in information technology, mathematics and natural sciences. On the other side, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities trains in-depth knowledge in education. In addition, the two schools coordinate training for subjects that require a combination of both educational knowledge and information technology.
The school plans to open a new major in land economics, in collaboration with the University of Economics and Law to implement training.
This year, the school plans to recruit 4,330 students, with specific majors as shown in the following table:
3 admission methods in 2025
In 2025, the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) will enroll students in 3 ways.
Method 1 : Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; Priority admission and priority direct admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University; Priority admission for candidates with international language certificates combined with high school academic results.
Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam.
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Science will continue to maintain a scholarship package of 2 billion VND for new students with high admission results in 7 training majors in the national strategy for science and technology development and sustainable development. Specifically, including: physics, oceanography, nuclear engineering, geology, geological engineering, environmental science, and environmental engineering technology.
