Recently, at the Hanoi Opera House, educator, speaker, and consultant Ruby Nguyen held an event to launch her first book , Living Like a Fireworks .
Ruby Nguyen launched her first book "Living like a firework".
At the music night, Ruby Nguyen recreated part of the space and content of the book as well as the messages that the book aims to convey to readers with the support of MC Le Anh and performances by Trong Tan, Luong Nguyet Anh, and Minh Duc.
After 15 years of living and studying in England, the author's journey back is to return to her homeland, to herself, to the most sacred things. Sao Mai Luong Nguyet Anh sings Que Huong on behalf of Ruby Nguyen, expressing her deepest feelings.
Ruby Nguyen said she thought of people when she looked at the pine forest. It inspired her to write a book for those who are lonely and struggling in life. This idea almost coincides with the meaning of the song A Lifetime, A Forest of Trees by musician Tran Long An. When Trong Tan performed the song, the audience in the auditorium could better understand the message of the book.
Trong Tan performs the song "A lifetime, a forest".
During a trip back to Vietnam 4 years ago, the author met a poor highland girl whose biggest dream was to travel through the mountains, leave the village and explore life. Ruby's return was like a responsibility, like a promise to life. Hanoi on the day of her return with Minh Duc's beautiful, masculine voice spoke for the young girl's feelings.
The male singer admires speaker Ruby Nguyen's philosophy of life.
The journey back is the journey back to the most genuine love. That simplicity is expressed by Luong Nguyet Anh through her skillful, emotional voice. Ruby believes: "Instead of possessing, be present. Through unconditional love and possession, people can reach true peace. Everything will pass, only love remains ". Only love remains with the performance of Minh Duc or Let the wind take it away with the performance of Trong Tan are the lyrics that sow that humane thought in people's hearts.
What is special is that all the songs in the program are sung a cappella with guitar. Three talented voices combined with the guitar of artist Minh Hai direct the audience to focus completely on the lyrics, from there pondering the spirit of the song and then returning, finding the similarities developed in the book Live like a firework.
Singer Luong Nguyet Anh sang " Homeland" on behalf of Ruby Nguyen, expressing her deepest feelings.
The concert was attended by many guests including scholars, friends, artists and readers of Ruby Nguyen over the years.
Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung believes that for those who have love and open their hearts, Living like a Firework is very simple, rustic and popular but touches many people. He wants to give it to students and is currently working with the author on a journey to bring Living like a Firework to the world.
