Gratitude to generals and heroes of the People's Armed Forces who have contributed to protecting the country

The program is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024) and the 80th anniversary of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024); the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

At the program, leaders, guests, officers, soldiers and people reviewed the traditions of the early days of our Army's establishment, opening the tradition of "Determined to fight, Determined to win" through information sharing and perspectives of heroic generals.

Delegates offered incense and flowers to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap and 34 soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army.

The opinions at the program will clarify the maturity and growth of the Vietnam People's Army, the strength of the military branches, arms, and corps, with many glorious feats of arms. At the same time, it will emphasize the role of Party work and political work to ensure the absolute and direct leadership of the Party in all aspects over the Army, and maintain the Party's ideological position in the Army.

Interspersed in the meeting program were musical performances praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho and the homeland, performed by the shock art troupe of the Military University of Culture and Arts.

The generals reviewed the traditions of the early days of our Army's establishment.

Also in the program, the organizing committee presented gifts to generals and heroes of the People's Armed Forces; policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, poor households and outstanding students in Tam Kim and Hoa Tham communes, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province; presented "Houses of Gratitude" to policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, presented "Houses of Great Unity" to poor households in Nguyen Binh and Hoa An districts; presented "Houses of Comrades" to soldiers in difficult circumstances under the Military Command of Cao Bang province.

Through the program, the Organizing Committee hopes to arouse national pride, self-esteem, the spirit of determination to fight and win of the Vietnam People's Army, the glorious tradition of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; to show gratitude to policy beneficiaries and people in the two communes of Tam Kim and Hoa Tham, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province. To promote tradition, to create motivation for officers and soldiers of the entire army to enthusiastically compete to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
