Ho Chi Minh City implements propaganda plan to celebrate important historical events

(CLO) On March 27, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a conference to review propaganda and mass mobilization work in early 2025, deploying directions and tasks for the second quarter of 2025. The conference was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Deputy Heads of the Department.

At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Mai - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee, reported on the results of the work in early 2025. Accordingly, the Committee advised on organizing a City Cadre Conference to disseminate and propagate the policies of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the organization of the political system, and submitted to the City Party Executive Committee the Project to merge the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee, as well as projects related to the organization, streamlining of the apparatus and plans to organize press agencies of Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding preparations for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Mai said that the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee has carried out activities such as organizing seminars and discussions on the historical significance of the April 30 Victory and lessons learned in 50 years of building and developing Ho Chi Minh City. The Department has also coordinated to organize major events such as the National Conference of Central Reporters and launching the online quiz contest "Proud of Vietnam".

In propaganda work, the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department has directed the survey of public opinion and reviewed the implementation of policies for intellectuals, scientists, artists, as well as prominent intellectuals, ethnic minorities, and religious dignitaries.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized the importance of propaganda and mass mobilization work in the current period, especially in implementing the Central Government's policies on streamlining the organizational apparatus. Mr. Cuong requested that the city's propaganda and mass mobilization system should step up propaganda and mobilization work among all classes of people, especially cadres and party members, to create consensus and support in carrying out common tasks.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong noted that units need to seriously implement the Central's directives on restructuring the political system and reorganizing the state apparatus, considering this a comprehensive revolution to create new space for development. Agencies and units need to proactively and promptly participate in the fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints and political opportunists.

The Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee also requested that the propaganda and mass mobilization system focus on propaganda work to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. Propaganda work must be carried out closely and thoroughly, avoiding errors that could create conditions for hostile forces to exploit for sabotage. Propaganda content needs to be innovated in a diverse, rich and attractive direction, maximizing the effectiveness of modern media.
