Introducing the beauty of the capital to the public through photography.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), on September 28, at the walking space of Hoan Kiem Lake (opposite the statue of King Le Thai To, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter in coordination with the Photography-Press Association (Hanoi Art Photography Association) organized a photo exhibition with the theme "Hanoi in me". The photo exhibition "Hanoi in me" introduces to the public 70 color and black and white photos of 18 artists and journalists, including many artists and journalists known to the public such as: Trinh Hai, Hoang Kim Dang, Tran Hong, Hoang Nhu Thinh, Khac Huong, Pham Cong Thang... The person with the most photos exhibited (15 photos) is photographer and journalist Trinh Hai - a founding member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, who turned 92 years old this year. Among the 70 works introduced to the public, many were taken in the 60s of the last century and many have never been published. Among them, there are works bearing the mark of time such as: "Traditional Flame", "Party Newspaper Comes to Readers Every Day", "Ready to Fight", "Mobile Sales" by photographer Trinh Hai; "Famous Photographers - Citizens of Hanoi", "Grandmother and Grandchild in the Subsidy Period" by artist Tran Hong... In addition, there are many works recording beautiful, authentic and vivid images of the beauty of the Capital over the years. That is the moment when Uncle Ho, Party and State leaders interacted with the people of the Capital; The beauty of famous monuments, the vibrant pace of life as well as the changes of the city... Following the flow of history, the authors recorded the events of Hanoi in the process of building and defending the Fatherland, from the subsidy period to renovation and international integration.![]() |

Born in many regions of the country, but choosing Hanoi as the place to live and work, photographers and journalists of the Photography-Press Association have expressed their love for the capital through their works. The photo collection introduced at the exhibition is a tribute, an expression of love for Hanoi by journalists and photographers on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the capital's takeover.
