Ho Chi Minh City is researching and completing pre-feasibility reports for five key BOT projects to upgrade transport infrastructure and improve regional connectivity.
The consultant proposed that option one would be to build a low-speed road with a width of 60m, 10 lanes (2 mixed lanes); 4 high-speed lanes running in the middle. With this option, there will be 7 incomplete grade-separated intersections; an overpass on the first floor; a metro on the second floor. At the same time, there will be 4 high-speed lanes going through the underpass, the tunnel is 20m wide, reinforced concrete structure.
Mr. Tran Quang Lam, Director of the Department of Transport, said that regarding the implementation roadmap of the BOT project on 5 existing routes, in December 2024 (or at the latest by January 2025), the unit will submit a pre-feasibility study report to the grassroots appraisal council.
Quarter I/2025 approve investment policy; select contractor to prepare feasibility study report; survey, prepare feasibility study report, survey investor interest;
Approve feasibility study report in Q3/2025.
By the end of 2025, select investors and strive to start the first project.
