Information from the Global Vietnam Ancestral Day Project Board said: In 2023, the Project Board will continue to coordinate with Associations, Overseas Vietnamese Communities of various countries, international scientists, agencies, departments and sectors of Vietnam and host countries to organize the Global Vietnam Ancestral Day - Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony and Honoring the Descendants of Hung Kings Globally 2023.

The ceremony will take place live in Germany (the European host country, on April 23) and Laos (the Asian host country, on the main holiday day, April 29) with the participation of delegates and overseas Vietnamese from nearly 20 countries and territories. The ceremony will also be held online, connecting with dozens of points around the world on the main holiday day, at 1:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on April 29 (ie the 10th day of the third lunar month).
This is a cultural event of special significance not only for the Vietnamese community living, studying, researching and working abroad, but also for international friends who love Vietnam. The program has been maintained and organized annually by the Global Vietnam National Day Project Board (from 2015 to present) according to a common scenario, aiming to create a common cultural day, connecting Vietnamese people around the world with international friends, building a strong cultural and friendship bridge between Vietnam and international friends.
The program of the Global Vietnamese National Ancestor Day - Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony and Honoring the Descendants of the Hung Kings Worldwide 2023 consists of 3 parts. The ceremony part - "Grateful to Ancestors"; showing the sacred Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony from the origin of Hung Temple, Phu Tho (Vietnam) and Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony in other countries.
The festival section - "Returning to Vietnam" introduces special performances by overseas Vietnamese. The Organizing Committee and the Honoring Council will conduct "Honoring the descendants of King Hung globally 2023" for individuals and groups who are Vietnamese, international friends from 15 countries and territories who have contributed to the social community, the Project Board, connecting friendship between Vietnam and international friends.
The next part, the International Conference - Honoring national values - national virtues includes 3 contents: "Vietnam - Position and Potential"; "Overseas Vietnamese turn to the homeland Vietnam" and "The role of Vietnam in the international arena", with the participation of speakers who are intellectuals, scientists, leaders, international students, overseas Vietnamese and international experts...
