The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the visit and work of Mr. Benjamin Gallezot is a positive signal of cooperation between Vietnamese and French enterprises in a new field with great potential; contributing to enriching the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in the spirit of deep understanding, as well as the tradition of cooperation of previous generations. Appreciating the research results of French geologists who have been carried out in Vietnam, and contributing to laying the foundation for the Vietnamese geological sector, the Deputy Prime Minister hoped that the French side would continue to share valuable research documents on geography and geology of Vietnam. The Deputy Prime Minister said that Vietnam has just investigated a number of areas for strategic minerals and metals, and needs to continue to deeply assess reserves, as well as calculate the roadmap for exploitation and deep processing when selecting and receiving modern technology, protecting the environment, as well as forecasting demand, mastering the market..., contributing most effectively to the economic development of the country. Believing that the two sides need to study cooperation plans to achieve comprehensive efficiency and overall benefits, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the French Joint Ministry on Supply of Strategic Minerals and Metals should work specifically with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and Vietnamese partners to connect and pilot a cooperation project between French and Vietnamese enterprises to receive and transfer the technology of the value chain of mining, deep processing, and supply of strategic mineral and metal products, first of all for the Vietnamese and French markets. "We need to continue to promote the achievements that have been made, cooperate together and aim for mutually beneficial goals," said the Deputy Prime Minister. Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to meet, Mr. Benjamin Gallezot said that strategic minerals and metals are important resources for the socio-economic development of each country and the world. Many important French industries also have a great demand for strategic minerals and metals. In recent times, France has proactively contacted and implemented cooperation with Vietnamese partners on mining and processing technology for strategic minerals and metals, environmental protection solutions, etc. Mr. Benjamin Gallezo proposed that the two sides organize expert exchanges to build common data information and a specific roadmap for mining and processing of strategic minerals and metals; agreed to conduct pilot projects for businesses of the two countries.
