On January 6, in Hanoi, Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) held a conference to review production and business activities in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.
TKV awarded Emulation Flags to outstanding units leading the emulation movement in 2024
With the spirit of "Discipline and unity" of miners, in 2024, TKV basically completed the planned targets, ensuring adequate supply of coal for electricity production according to signed contracts; profits, budget payments and workers' income all increased compared to the plan. The output of finished clean coal was 38.36 million tons, reaching 102.6% of the plan at the beginning of the year, reaching 102.5% compared to the plan of the State Capital Management Committee at enterprises. Converted alumina production was 1.4 million tons, reaching 108% of the plan at the beginning of the year, consumption was 1.39 million tons, reaching 107% of the plan. Production and consumption of 9.535 billion kWh of electricity, equal to 100.3% over the same period... The Group's total revenue reached more than 168,000 billion VND. TKV has contributed over VND 25,000 billion to the State budget, including VND 17,600 billion in Quang Ninh. The average income of the whole Group is estimated at VND 17.95 million/person/month, equal to 109.2% of the annual plan and 101.1% of the implementation in 2023. Of which, coal production reached VND 18.77 million/person/month. Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, emphasized the importance of TKV closely following the 3 national plans related to energy in 2025. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh suggested that TKV promote mechanization, automation, digital transformation in production management, improve working conditions and living environment for workers, and at the same time remove difficulties in mining activities, especially the issue of granting exploration licenses. In 2025, TKV sets a higher target, with a plan to pay the budget 25,500 billion VND; consume 50 million tons of coal, export 2 million tons and produce 36.85 million tons of clean coal and the expected imported coal output reaches 13.2 million tons; the power generation output reaches at least 10.07 billion kWh. TKV also commits to continue promoting the cultural values of mine workers, promoting the application of science and technology and coordinating with local units in using mine waste as landfill material.
