TKV ensures power system safety for dry season power generation

Complete and exceed plan

Raw coal production reached 3.98 million tons, equal to 113% of the plan; clean coal production reached 3.56 million tons, equal to 101.8% of the plan; consumption was 4.98 million tons, equal to 100% of the plan; earth and rock removal was expected to reach 16.15 million tons, equal to 114% of the plan; tunnel excavation was expected to reach 25.46 thousand meters, equal to 111% of the plan.

Converted alumina mineral production is expected to reach 127.8 thousand tons, expected to consume 165 thousand tons. Copper concentrate production is 11.7 thousand tons, equal to 106% of the plan, producing 2.65 thousand tons of copper plate; 625 tons of zinc ingot; 16.3 thousand tons of iron concentrate.

Expected to produce 1.09 billion kWh of electricity, equal to 107% of the plan. In addition, produce 7.5 thousand tons of explosives, equal to 107% of the plan, consume 9.7 thousand tons; produce 16.1 thousand tons of Ammonium Nitrate; consume 17.9 thousand tons, equal to 103% of the plan.

Completing the basic targets according to the operating plan, the total revenue of the whole Group in March 2025 is expected to reach 17.94 trillion VND. The total revenue of the first 3 months of the year is expected to reach 44.34 trillion VND, equal to 113% compared to the same period in 2024.

Ensuring coal supply for power generation

The main targets of TKV Group of Companies in the first quarter of 2025 basically achieved and exceeded the set plan targets, providing coal for electricity production on schedule, ensuring the safety of the power system for power generation in the dry months; maximizing the exploitation of output, coal and minerals combined with reasonable coal import management, meeting the demand for coal and minerals for customers, contributing to the overall GDP growth of the whole country.

Entering April and the second quarter of 2025, TKV has proactively reviewed the coal production plan, focused on processing coal from mixed rock and coal, maximizing mining output, the Group implemented the production and business plan for April and the second quarter of 2025 with a number of key targets.

Raw coal production in April is expected to reach 3.35 million tons; the plan for the second quarter is to reach 10.15 million tons, and the accumulated output for the first 6 months of the year is expected to reach 20.90 million tons. Coal consumption is expected to reach 4.88 million tons; of which electricity consumption is 4.18 million tons, the second quarter is expected to reach 15.8 million tons, and the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated to consume 28.5 million tons of coal.

Estimated coal for power generation is 12.4 million tons, accumulated in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at 23.23 million tons. Earth and rock removal in April reached 14.43 million m3; in the second quarter reached 40.1 million m3. Total tunnel meters in April reached 23.85 thousand meters, in the second quarter reached 72.2 thousand meters.

Strive for Alumina products in April to reach 131 thousand tons, consumption of 130 thousand tons; plan for the second quarter to reach 348 thousand tons, consumption of 370 thousand tons. Production of copper plates in April to reach 2.5 thousand tons, consumption of 2.8 thousand tons; Plan for the second quarter to reach 7.46 thousand tons; consumption of 8.5 thousand tons...

Electricity production in April is expected to reach 1 billion kWh; Plan for the second quarter is 2.88 billion kWh.

Explosives produced 6.8 thousand tons in April; Plan for the second quarter reached 20.6 thousand tons... Ammonium Nitrate produced 16.5 thousand tons in April; Plan for the second quarter reached 50 thousand tons, April consumption reached 17.5 thousand tons; Plan for the second quarter reached 51.86 thousand tons...
