Millions of users around the world rely on Google Maps not only to get from A to B, but also to find nearby stores, restaurants, supermarkets, or landmarks.
One difficulty users may encounter when visiting these locations is finding the correct entrance, especially with large locations.
Google Maps is finalizing a new feature to address this issue.
Android Police discovered that the Google Maps test version shows two completely new icons (one blue and one red) indicating the entrance and exit of a building.

Note that these helpful icons only appear when you have selected a location on the map and zoomed in enough.
The new feature can save people a lot of time in finding the right way to a building or a certain landmark.
"The new feature of the Google Maps app will be very convenient in big cities" - one user commented on Reddit .
Another wrote: "I've been using it for a few days now and it's been a small but hugely helpful change."
It's unclear whether Google plans to make this feature official.
