According to the report of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC), from 4:00 p.m. on May 11 to 4:00 p.m. on May 12, Ho Chi Minh City recorded 134 new cases of Covid-19, of which 42 were hospitalized. During the day, 80 cases were also discharged from the hospital.

Since the beginning of 2023, Ho Chi Minh City has had 3,945 Covid-19 cases announced by the Ministry of Health.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City currently has 1,618 suspected Covid-19 cases being quarantined at home (F0).

According to HCDC's recommendations, F0s isolated at home should drink enough water or more if they have fever or diarrhea. Do not skip meals, improve nutrition, eat a balanced diet, increase fresh fruits and green vegetables. Practice breathing and exercise regularly to improve health. Do not be pessimistic, always keep a comfortable mentality. When encountering difficulties, contact medical staff for remote consultation.
In addition, caregivers or family members living in the same house as F0 must always wear masks, wash or disinfect hands before and after caring for F0; and keep distance when having to come into contact with F0.
Regarding Covid-19 vaccination, on May 12, Ho Chi Minh City administered 929 doses. It is expected that on May 13, Ho Chi Minh City will organize 26 vaccination sites in districts, towns and Thu Duc City.
