Oscar-winning editor to attend HIFF
On the night of March 12, the Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival (HIFF) announced that one of Hollywood's leading film editors - Tom Cross, will come to Vietnam as a jury member of HIFF next April.
HIFF organizers said Tom Cross has accepted to serve on the jury for the First and Second Feature Film categories.

His participation brings high professional and spiritual value to HIFF in selecting the most worthy work to receive the award.
The First and Second Feature categories are a dedicated playground for new directors to showcase their creative potential, as well as their unique vision and storytelling.
This category is similar to the Camera d'Or award at the annual Cannes Film Festival.
As a judge, Tom Cross is expected to discover rough gems in Vietnam and pioneering works of art, bringing a breath of fresh air to the global film industry.
Tom Cross has a Hue mother and an American father and was given the Vietnamese name Minh Tam. In 2015, he won the Oscar for Best Film Editing for his work Whiplash .
Tom Cross is also the third international filmmaker confirmed to participate in HIFF, following directors Kore-eda Hirokazu and Kim Jee Woon.
The Batman 2 movie postponed release date for 1 year
Variety says The Batman 2 will be delayed for a year.
The reason is that the production process is stalled, a result of last year's SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) strike, which affected many studios and third parties and left them unprepared for production.
