Binh Phuoc is a border province with many ethnic minorities; many schools are located in remote, border areas, with limited facilities, difficult roads; many parents' awareness of taking care of their children's education is inadequate.

In order to support poor students in border areas to go to school, border posts, military command boards of communes and towns have proactively coordinated with other forces to organize propaganda and give more than 1,500 gifts (backpacks, bicycles, books, school supplies, pants, shirts) to poor students, and mobilized nearly 2,000 working days to help schools clean up and prepare to welcome students to the new school year.

According to Colonel Hoang Van Thanh, Political Commissar of the Border Guard of Binh Phuoc province, the meaningful and practical activities of officers and soldiers have encouraged, added strength and created conditions for poor students to have the opportunity to continue going to school, overcome difficulties and study well. To effectively implement, the Provincial Border Guard Command continues to effectively implement the models "Helping children go to school", "Adopted children of border guards"; coordinate with departments, branches and localities to develop specific plans and programs to accompany the education sector, mobilize many resources to support poor students to go to school; thereby strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, enhancing the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new period.
