Thuy Linh is considered to be slightly better thanks to her higher ranking on the world rankings (29 compared to 41). The Vietnamese girl also has more competition experience than her opponent.

The two players entered the match in a tense tug-of-war. Thuy Linh did not rush to attack but took the initiative to play a steady game. However, she made many mistakes and let Gunji score a series of points.

The Japanese player led 8-4 but Thuy Linh calmly played and tied the score at 9-9. Both players fought intensely. Gunji took the initiative to attack and pressure but the Vietnamese player showed his bravery and played resiliently.

Many times, Thuy Linh immediately counterattacked and scored points as soon as she resolved the situation. She won 21-17 in game 1.

In game 2, Thuy Linh's situation was much more difficult.

She did not start very well, making many mistakes and hitting the ball out or not over the net. Thanks to that, Gunji created big gaps of 9-4, 11-6,... The gap later became even bigger when she led 16-8. It seemed that this match was firmly in the hands of the Japanese athlete, but Thuy Linh rose up strongly.

The Vietnamese badminton hot girl focused and handled the game more accurately. In the long, tense series of shots, she was also more alert and won the points. Gunji tried to hit hard to pressure, but her declining stamina also caused her to make mistakes.

After tireless efforts, Thuy Linh excellently equalized 17-17 and then won 21-19. This victory helped her reach the final of the German Open for the second consecutive time.

Last year, Thuy Linh lost to Mia Blichfeldt and accepted second place. This time, she will face Singaporean player Yeo Jia Min for the championship match.

On the world rankings, Thuy Linh is ranked 29th, while her opponent is ranked 13th. There will certainly be many challenges awaiting the Vietnamese tennis player.
