The 1998-born tennis player has only won 3 BWF World Tour titles. Those are all Super 100 tournaments held at home (Vietnam Open) in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

As runner-up at the German Open, Nguyen Thuy Linh received more than 9,000 USD (nearly 230 million VND) in prize money. Champion Yeo Jia Min won 18,000 USD.

At the 2025 German Open, Nguyen Thuy Linh (ranked 26th in the world) was seeded 6th. In addition to the Vietnamese player, the other 3 seeds in the draw, Line Kjaersfeldt, Sung Shuo-yun (Tong Thac Van) and Zhang Beiwen (Truong Boi Van), were all eliminated early.

Nguyen Thuy Linh defeated Leonice Huet (France), Aakarshi Kashyap (India) and Tasnim Mir (India) in the first three rounds. In the semi-final, the 1998-born player defeated Riko Gunji after two sets with a score of 21-17, 21-19. In the previous three matches, the Vietnamese representative only lost one set in the quarter-final match against Tasnim Mir.
