Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San emphasized that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos have always been valued and maintained and promoted by the senior leaders of the two countries, the two Ministries of Defense, and the people of the two countries. Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San assessed that the bilateral defense cooperation relationship in recent times has continued to be focused on by both sides in a practical and effective manner in the following areas: Training; exchange of delegations, especially high-level delegations; effective maintenance of consultation and dialogue mechanisms, etc.

For his part, Lieutenant General Khamphet Sisanone informed Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San of the results of his previous talks on the same day with Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang, Chief of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People's Army. Accordingly, the two sides discussed and evaluated the contents of cooperation in the past time; at the same time, they agreed on the direction of cooperation in the coming time, focusing on areas such as: training, sending experts, military medicine, sharing the experience of the Army to support people in economic development... On this occasion, Lieutenant General Khamphet Sisanone conveyed the greetings of General Chansamone Chanyalath, member of the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Laos to General Phan Van Giang, member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense of Vietnam.

Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San acknowledged and highly appreciated the cooperation results between the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People's Army and the General Department of Logistics of the Lao People's Army in recent times, especially in the fields of: exchanging professional experiences, training, coaching, delegation exchanges... In particular, at the first Vietnam-Laos Border Defense Friendship Exchange (December 2021), the medical forces of the two sides coordinated to organize medical examinations and treatment, and give gifts to people in the border area, creating a ripple effect and strengthening the relationship between the two countries and the two armies.
