Today (June 28), a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security, visited and worked with the Lai Chau Provincial Police. The delegation also included representatives of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security's professional departments.

Attending the working session on Lai Chau province's side were Ms. Giang Pao My, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Viet Giang, Director of the Provincial Police Department and representatives of local functional units.

Reporting to the working delegation, Colonel Nguyen Viet Giang said: Since the beginning of 2024, Lai Chau Provincial Police have proactively grasped the situation and effectively advised Party committees and authorities at all levels to effectively resolve security and order issues in the area.

Lai Chau Provincial Police have maintained a strategic initiative in national security, avoiding passive surprises, especially ensuring security and order on the border; security in religion and ethnicity; proactively controlling the situation, not allowing it to become a "hot spot" in security and order.

The fight against crime has been vigorously implemented and achieved positive results. Social order crimes decreased by 23.4% compared to the same period in 2023; crime investigation and handling achieved high results.

Notably, the rate of investigation and discovery of social order cases reached over 97.2%; very serious and especially serious cases reached 100%...

At the meeting, chaired by Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, representatives of professional departments, district and city police and commune police reported, discussed and exchanged many contents surrounding the work of Party building, force building, situation and results of security and order assurance work in the first 6 months of the year.

At the same time, opinions mentioned the advantages, difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing tasks in the locality to have a comprehensive assessment; giving directions to overcome and contribute to building a strong Lai Chau Police, excellently completing assigned tasks.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To acknowledged and commended the solidarity, efforts and work results that Lai Chau Police force has achieved in recent times.

According to Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, the tasks in the coming time will be increasingly difficult and complicated, requiring Lai Chau Police to continue to promote the achievements they have made, overcome shortcomings and limitations; closely follow the set goals and requirements; proactively advise the Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and Party committees and authorities at all levels to properly resolve issues related to security and order, and avoid sudden and unexpected situations.
