Experts from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting have just made an assessment of the weather developments in the next 10 days (March 10-March 19, 2025).

Accordingly, the continental cold high pressure (cold air) moves to the East, weakens and denatures. Around March 11-12, there is a possibility of forming a low pressure trough with an axis at about 24-27 degrees North latitude connecting with the low pressure area in the West and gradually expanding to the East. After that, this low pressure trough is compressed by cold air in the North and gradually fills up. Around March 15-16, the cold air is likely to strengthen again.

Above, the subtropical high pressure tends to gradually move westward, from around March 14 it will weaken in intensity and gradually withdraw its circulation to the east.

Due to the influence of the above forms, the weather in regions across the country has many fluctuations, including fog, drizzle and humidity in the North, especially the Northeast; then cold air returns.

Specifically, in the Northwest and North Central regions : from March 10-14, there will be rain in some places, early morning there will be scattered fog and light fog, sunny in the afternoon; around the night of March 14-15, there is a possibility of rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; later there will be rain in some places. From March 10-11, the morning and night will be cold; from March 12-15, the morning and night will be cold; from the night of March 15-16, there is a possibility of the weather turning cold.

Northeast : from March 10-14, there will be rain in some places, early morning there will be scattered fog and light fog; in the plains and coastal areas there will be light rain, drizzle and scattered fog in the morning and at night, sunny in the afternoon. From March 10-11, it will be cold in the morning and at night; from March 12-15, it will be cold in the morning and at night; from around the night of March 15-16, there is a possibility of the weather turning cold.

Central and South Central regions: from March 10-11, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; from March 12-15, in the evening and at night, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny during the day; from the night of March 15-19, there will be scattered showers and rain (concentrated from Quang Binh to Khanh Hoa).

Central Highlands and Southern regions: scattered showers and thunderstorms, sunny days; from March 10-11, in the late afternoon and evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places.

In Hanoi, from March 10 to 14, there will be light rain, drizzle and scattered fog in the morning and at night, and sunny in the afternoon. From March 10 to 11, it will be cold in the morning and at night; from March 12 to 15, it will be cold in the morning and at night; from the night of March 15 to 16, there is a possibility of the weather turning cold.

In addition, meteorological experts also said that in March, cold air waves will still appear but not too strong; causing short cold spells and light rain, drizzle, and humidity, especially in the Northeast.

Also in March, the Southern region is likely to experience hot weather for many days and last into April.
