Within the framework of the working trip to Egypt, in order to promote connection activities, information exchange, and promote the introduction and promotion of Hanoi's potential and investment environment to Egyptian and Cairo enterprises, on October 24, Hanoi City coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt to organize the event "Seminar on promoting investment, trade, tourism and connecting Hanoi - Egypt enterprises 2024".
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Head of the working delegation affirmed that the development results of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Egypt in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, cultural and artistic exchange are the foundation and favorable conditions to promote cooperation potential. This investment promotion seminar was organized with the desire to continue promoting the good image, safe and effective investment environment of Hanoi to strengthen connectivity, promote investment, trade and tourism between Hanoi and Egypt. Hanoi always attaches importance and is ready to create the best conditions when Egyptian enterprises and investors are interested in investing and doing business in Hanoi - City for Peace, City of Creativity.
Mr. Mohamed Hedaya, representative of the Giza Chamber of Commerce, expressed his joy at the similarities in the cultural history of Vietnam and Egypt, the close relationship, and the growing political trust. The signing of the cooperation agreement between the two capitals, Hanoi and Cairo, further affirms the development of cooperation at all levels. The seminar is an opportunity for Egyptian and Cairo businesses to exchange, connect, and access information on the investment environment, policies, and mechanisms of Hanoi and Vietnam towards future cooperation development.
The exchange and discussion took place in an open and lively atmosphere with connection proposals, information on investment opportunities in the fields of pharmaceuticals, agriculture and aquaculture, methods to promote two-way trade,... in Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular, demonstrating the interest of Egyptian businesses in promoting substantive cooperation in the future.
During the working trip, the high-ranking delegation of Hanoi visited, met and exchanged with the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt.
At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Nguyen Huy Dung informed the delegation of the main features of the relationship between Vietnam and Egypt, emphasizing the outstanding cooperation projects between the two sides as well as the strengths of these countries that Hanoi can take advantage of cooperation opportunities.
At the meeting, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen highly appreciated the efforts and remarkable results of the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt in promoting and strengthening the good friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Egypt in various fields through many outstanding activities and events; as well as the work of supporting and protecting Vietnamese citizens in other countries. She hoped that the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt would continue to pay attention to promoting the exchange of delegations at all levels, people-to-people exchanges, promoting cooperation in tourism, investment and trade between Hanoi and Cairo in particular and with Egyptian partners in general; continue to make efforts and pay attention to supporting the Vietnamese community in Egypt and neighboring countries to ensure safety, stability in living and studying.
Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung affirmed that, as a diplomatic representative agency of Vietnam abroad, the staff of the Embassy always strives to provide maximum support for promoting cooperation between Hanoi and Cairo to strongly promote local-level cooperation, contributing to the results of cooperation between the two countries, Vietnam and Egypt, to go deeper, more practical and effective.
During this visit to Egypt, the delegation surveyed some typical models of preserving and promoting historical and cultural values, serving the tourism development of the capital Cairo.
