Based on data extracted from the data processing system from the journey monitoring device of the Vietnam Road Administration (Ministry of Transport) from January to March 2023, on May 31, information from the Department of Transport of Nam Dinh province said that this unit has issued a decision to revoke the badges for a series of transport business vehicles due to violations of point b, clause 10, Article 22 of Decree No. 10/2020/ND-CP of the Government.
Some transport companies that violated the law have returned their badges to the Department of Transport of Nam Dinh province.

The total number of recalled vehicles is 103, including 88 fixed-route vehicles, 6 passenger transport vehicles under contract, 2 taxis, 6 tractor-trailers, and 1 truck.
Accordingly, vehicles will have their badges revoked if they have 5 speeding violations per 1,000 km of vehicle travel (not including speeding violations of 5 km/h or less) in March 2023.
The Department of Transport of Nam Dinh province requires transport businesses whose vehicles have had their badges revoked to return their badges to the Department of Transport no later than 7 days after the decision is issued, and must not use the vehicles whose badges have been revoked to participate in transport business activities during the time the badges are revoked.
The Department of Transport assigned the Traffic Inspectorate to coordinate with functional forces to control and handle according to regulations vehicles whose badges have been revoked but intentionally participate in transportation business activities.
According to the statistics of the Traffic Safety Committee of Nam Dinh province, from April 15 to May 14, the Traffic Police of Nam Dinh province handled 1,688 cases of road traffic safety violations, fined over 5.23 billion VND, temporarily revoked 671 driving licenses; temporarily detained 45 cars, 775 motorbikes, and 14 other vehicles.
In the field of ensuring order and safety of waterway traffic, the authorities have strengthened prevention work, handling 45 violations with a total fine of over 155.2 million VND; revoking 2 professional licenses and certificates.
Some violating transport businesses have returned their badges to the Department of Transport of Nam Dinh province.
