Merge 10 departments, appoint many leaders

On the morning of February 20, the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province held a conference to implement the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the establishment and reorganization of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee; announced many decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on appointing officials.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Council decided to establish the Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Finance and the Department of Planning and Investment; establish the Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport; establish the Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Information and Communications; establish the Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; establish the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

The province maintains 7 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, with adjusted functions, tasks, and internal organizational structure, including: Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Education and Training; Department of Justice; Department of Health; Department of Industry and Trade; Office of the Provincial People's Committee; Provincial Inspectorate.

With the above decision, Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee now has 12 specialized agencies, reducing 5 focal points.

Also on the same morning, the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province announced many decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee appointing leaders of newly established departments of the province.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province appointed Mr. Mai Van Quyet, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, former Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, as Director of the Department of Finance; appointed 6 deputies, including Mr. Pham Thanh Binh, former Director of the former Department of Finance, the remaining 5 deputies are former Deputy Directors of the former Departments of Finance, Planning and Investment.

Appoint Mr. Pham Quang Ai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Director of the old Department of Home Affairs to hold the position of Director of the new Department of Home Affairs; appoint 5 deputies, including 3 former Deputy Directors of the old Department of Home Affairs, 2 former Deputy Directors of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

Appoint Mr. Tran Van Hung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Director of the old Department of Construction as Director of the new Department of Construction, appoint 6 deputy directors who were former Deputy Directors of the old Departments of Construction, Traffic and Transport.

Appoint Mr. Pham Van Son, Provincial Party Committee member, former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment as Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, appoint 9 deputies, including Mr. Nguyen Sinh Tien, former Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the remaining 8 Deputy Directors are former Deputy Directors of the former Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development and Natural Resources and Environment.

Appoint Mr. Vu Trong Que, Provincial Party Committee member, former Director of the Department of Information and Communications as Director of the Department of Science and Technology, appoint 3 deputies who are former Deputy Directors of the former Departments of Information and Communications and Science and Technology.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee also appointed Mr. Luu Van Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Vu Chinh Tam, Deputy Head of the Provincial Department of Health Protection and Care, as Deputy Directors of the Department of Health; and appointed Mr. Trinh Xuan Loc, former Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, as Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Previously, as Dai Doan Ket Online reported, after the Department of Transport of Nam Dinh province was merged with the Department of Construction to form the Department of Construction, Mr. Dinh Xuan Hung, Director of the Department of Transport was transferred and appointed by his superiors to be the full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the provincial Party agencies. Meanwhile, after the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nam Dinh province was merged with the Department of Home Affairs to form the Department of Home Affairs, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs was transferred and appointed to be the full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee.
