The General Department of Taxation (Ministry of Finance) said that in the first 7 months of the year, the state budget revenue is estimated at more than 1,188 trillion VND, equal to 69.8% of the estimate, up 14.6% over the same period in 2023.
Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at VND 995 trillion, equal to 68.9% of the estimate, up 15.8% over the same period in 2023 (excluding tax extension policy, land rent increased by 9.7% over the same period).
Of the domestic revenue, land use fee revenue is estimated at 106,300 billion VND, although only reaching 46.9% of the estimate, it still increased by 90.6% over the same period.
Notably, revenue from lottery activities is estimated at VND32.7 trillion, equal to 76.1% of the estimate, up 14.1% over the same period. Revenue from dividends, profits, after-tax profits, and the difference between revenues and expenditures of the State Bank is estimated at VND82.9 trillion, equal to 97.1% of the estimate, up 1.8% over the same period.
Revenue from crude oil is estimated at about VND 34.4 trillion, equivalent to 74.7% of the estimate. Revenue from import-export activities is estimated at VND 158.5 trillion, equivalent to 77.7% of the estimate, up 11.7% over the same period in 2023.
The remaining domestic revenues are estimated at VND 755.4 trillion, equal to 69.6% of the estimate, up 10.1% over the same period in 2023. Of which, direct revenues from production and business activities (accounting for 50.9% of the total domestic revenue estimate) are estimated at 67.9% of the estimate, up 7.5% over the same period (excluding tax exemption, reduction, and extension policies, the revenue is approximately the same as the same period).
Some revenue items have achieved good collection progress (over 60% of the estimate) such as: environmental protection tax collection is estimated at 62.7% of the estimate, up 13.8%; mineral exploitation rights collection is estimated at 192.9% of the estimate, other budget revenue is estimated at 81.5% of the estimate.
Regarding local revenue, it is estimated that 26/63 localities have achieved domestic revenue of over 65% of the estimate in the first 7 months. 52/63 localities have revenue growth compared to the same period.
In July, tax and customs authorities continued to implement policies on tax, fee, charge exemption, and extension to support businesses and people. The total amount of exemption, reduction, and extension by the end of July is estimated at about VND87.2 trillion (about VND55.1 trillion exempted, reduced, and extended).
At the same time, tax and customs authorities focus on synchronously and drastically implementing solutions to strengthen revenue management, prevent revenue loss, recover tax arrears, strictly control tax declaration, payment, and refund, and increase propaganda and resolve taxpayers' problems.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance continues to promote digital transformation, modernize tax collection, and expand the implementation of electronic invoices.
