Technical opening of Song Thu bridge connecting Duy Xuyen and Dai Loc districts

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam Province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025), on the morning of March 23, Quang Nam Province held a ceremony to technically open the Thu River Bridge connecting National Highway 14H with DT.609C Road and An Binh Bridge under the project of connecting DT.609C to National Highway 14B.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Le Van Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Ribbon cutting ceremony for Song Thu Bridge

Song Thu Bridge crosses the Thu Bon River, part of the project connecting National Highway 14H with Provincial Road 609C. The project has a total investment of 378 billion VND from the provincial budget, with a total length of 6km. The project starts at the intersection with National Highway 14H in Duy Phu Commune (Duy Xuyen District), and ends at the intersection with Road DH5 in Dai Thang Commune (Dai Loc District). Song Thu Bridge is 669m long, with a prestressed reinforced concrete girder span structure.

Ribbon cutting ceremony for An Binh Bridge

An Binh Bridge crosses the Vu Gia River, part of the project connecting DT.609C to National Highway 14B. The project has a total investment of 550 billion VND, of which the central budget supports 440 billion VND, the rest is from the provincial budget. The project has a total length of nearly 4km, starting at the intersection with DT.609C in Dai Minh commune, ending at the intersection with National Highway 14B in Dai Quang commune (Dai Loc district). An Binh Bridge is more than 1km long, including a cantilevered main part, 19 spans with Super T girders, a permanent structure made of reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete.

Both Song Thu and An Binh bridges are 9m wide, with an 8m wide roadway and asphalt concrete structure. The entire project route has been installed with an electric lighting system.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung emphasized that investment in the construction of a bridge and road system connecting rivers is an urgent need. The completion of Song Thu Bridge and An Binh Bridge contributes to the formation of a strategic North-South traffic axis according to the province's transport planning orientation, ensuring security and defense, expanding development space, and promoting local socio-economic development. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also expressed his thanks to the people in the project area for agreeing to hand over the site, creating favorable conditions for the two projects to be completed on schedule.
