Phoenix robe design for Miss Vietnam National Pageant inspired by Nguyen Dynasty

Designer Tran Thien Khanh said the phoenix robe for Miss Vietnam, named Ngu Phung Te Phi, was inspired by the phoenix robes of the Nguyen Dynasty queens and princesses.

The Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam 2024 has just announced the coronation items for the beauty queen including: crown, hand-held flower, coronation cup, sash and phoenix robe.

It took 3 months to complete the phoenix robe.

The phoenix robe is one of the items that many people are interested in. Designer Tran Thien Khanh shared with Tuoi Tre Online : "The highlight of the phoenix robe is the five-petal phoenix motif and the regal gold background, symbolizing power and nobility. I combine that classical spirit with a contemporary breath to create a design that both honors tradition and is suitable for modern beauty standards." This phoenix robe was made by the designer and his team in 3 months. The main materials are silk and brocade. The designer applied hand embroidery techniques and attached precious stones, creating a soft, luxurious and splendid look but still comfortable for the wearer.

Talking about the highlight of the Ngũ Phụng Tề Phi phoenix robe, designer Trần Thiện Khánh shared: "The five phoenix petals symbolize the intelligence, beauty and strength of Vietnamese women. The cloud and water wave motifs represent the connection between people and nature, tradition and modernity. The jade green color at the bottom of the robe represents hope and a strong will to rise up." "I know that this is the first time a beauty pageant awards a phoenix robe, the audience will have great expectations. I am aware of this responsibility and am always mentally prepared to accept all opinions. I see this as an opportunity to listen, learn and improve myself in the next designs.

The crown symbolizes national unity.

On this occasion, the organizing committee announced the crown, hand-held flowers, coronation trophy... In which, the crown named Sac sen tam Viet , is studded with 54 pearls symbolizing the solidarity spirit of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. In addition, the crown also has 1,079 white and yellow gemstones.

The jury includes artist Vuong Duy Bien, Miss Ha Kieu Anh, Thuy Tien, Bao Ngoc, Luong Thuy Linh, Phuong Anh... The final night of Miss Vietnam National is expected to take place on the evening of December 28, in Ho Chi Minh City.
