July candidates take the Ministry of Public Security assessment exam

According to the 2024 enrollment guidelines just issued by the Ministry of Public Security, the 2024 Ministry of Public Security assessment exam will take place on July 6 and 7.

The structure of the 2024 Ministry of Public Security assessment exam consists of 2 parts: multiple choice (natural sciences, social sciences and English) and essay (math or literature). The test time is 180 minutes.

Candidates will choose one of two exam codes to take the exam: CA1 (multiple choice and essay math test) or CA2 (multiple choice and essay literature test).

Regarding admission methods, police schools recruit according to three methods:

Method 1: Direct admission according to current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

This method applies to candidates who graduate from high school or equivalent in 2024. The award is according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the time of winning the award is not more than 3 years from the time of direct admission.

Method 2: Direct admission combining international language certificates with high school academic results.

Conditions apply: Candidates must have an international language certificate no more than 2 years from the date of issuance of the certificate to April 1, 2024.

In which, the regulation is IELTS (Academic) English certificate of 7.5 or higher, TOEFL iBT of 110 or higher; Chinese HSK level 5; Spanish DELE C1; French DELF C1; Russian TRKI 3; German C1; Japanese JLPT N1; Korean TOPIK II Level 4; Italian CELI 4; B06's Chinese language department only accepts candidates with HSK Chinese certificate.

In addition, the academic performance in grades 10, 11, and 12 is excellent. In which, the average score of foreign language in high school years is from 8.5 points or higher.

For candidates studying in grade 12, after receiving the final grade score of grade 12, the regulations will be used to determine whether or not they meet the requirements.

Method 3: Combine the 2024 high school graduation exam results with the assessment test results of the Ministry of Public Security.

The formula for calculating admission scores still applies the total score of the 3 subjects in the admission group (accounting for 40%) and the assessment test score of the Ministry of Public Security is converted to a 30-point scale (accounting for 60%).

Increase enrollment quota

In 2024, the People's Public Security sector schools will recruit 2,150 full-time university training positions, an increase of 150 positions compared to 2023.

Of which, the People's Police Academy leads in enrollment with 530 quotas for police professions, the People's Security Academy enrolls 510 quotas, and the People's Police University enrolls 420 quotas...

The International Academy has the lowest enrollment of 50 students in English and Chinese language majors.
