Preliminary admission to military schools until May 20

Army Officer School 1 in coordination with Kim Thanh District Military Command organized counseling and career guidance for military recruitment in 2025 for students of Kim Thanh High School.

The Military Admissions Board (Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee) has issued instructions on preliminary selection for military college, university and intermediate training in 2025.

Accordingly, the preliminary selection process is basically the same as in 2024. The preliminary selection process for military schools will take place from April 1 to May 20, later than last year (in 2024, the preliminary selection process will start on March 15).

This year, there are 7 academies and 10 officer schools recruiting military university students (the number and schools are the same as last year). The academies include: Military Engineering, Military Medicine, Logistics, Border Defense, Navy, Air Defense - Air Force and Military Science. 10 officer schools: Army 1, Army 2, Politics, Artillery, Engineering, Information, Air Force, Armored, Special Forces and Chemical Defense.

There are 4 colleges recruiting students, including the Air Force Officer School, the Information Technology College, the Cryptography Technology College, and the National Defense Industry College. Last year, there were 3 schools recruiting students, including the Air Force Officer School, the Military Technology College 1, and the Information Technology College.

Subjects, age, and preliminary registration are the same as previous years.

The subjects of recruitment are non-commissioned officers and soldiers currently serving in the army, with a service period of 12 months or more as of April 2025; professional soldiers, workers, and defense officials serving in the army for 12 months or more as of September 2025; young men outside the army (including discharged soldiers and citizens who have completed their service in the People's Public Security), the number of applicants is unlimited; young women outside the army and female soldiers.

Military schools select candidates (both male and female) who meet health standards of type 1 and type 2 according to Circular No. 105/2023/TT-BQP dated December 6, 2023 of the Ministry of National Defense stipulating health standards and health examinations for subjects under the management of the Ministry of National Defense. In addition, some schools have their own standards for each subject.

The age of enrollment for military schools in 2025 is young people outside the military aged 17 - 21; active or discharged soldiers aged 18 - 23.

Candidates who are young people outside the military will register for the preliminary round and buy application forms at the Military Command of the district, town, or city where the candidate has registered permanent residence.

Candidates currently in active service register for preliminary selection and purchase application documents at regimental level units or equivalent (for military university training at the Air Force Officer School, only candidates who have been medically examined by the Air Defense - Air Force Service and found to be eligible for military pilot and drone training will be admitted).

When registering for the preliminary selection, candidates must register for the first choice (highest choice) at the school where they submitted the preliminary selection application, the remaining choices must be registered at schools outside the military.

When submitting the application for preliminary selection, candidates must bring their ID card and other personal documents for the officer collecting the application to compare.
