Accordingly, 3 communes are considered for recognition as meeting NTM standards in Tuan Giao district, including: Quai Nua has 14/19 criteria met, 5 basic criteria met; Quai Cang and Chieng Sinh communes both meet 13/19 criteria, 6 basic criteria met.
Communes considered to have basically met the NTM standards include: Chieng So - Dien Bien Dong district (8/19 criteria met, 8/19 basic criteria met, 3/19 criteria not met); Phi Nhu - Dien Bien Dong district (10/19 criteria met, 6/19 basic criteria met, 3/19 criteria not met) and Muong Dun - Tua Chua district (12/19 criteria met, 4/19 basic criteria met, 3/19 criteria not met).
Based on the review of the application documents and the results of the assessment of the implementation of 19 criteria in the National Criteria Set on New Rural Construction of the communes, the Assessment Council discussed and agreed to recognize the three communes of Quai Cang, Quai Nua, and Chieng Sinh (Tuan Giao district) as meeting the New Rural Standards with 20/20 votes in agreement; the communes of Chieng So, Phi Nhu, and Muong Dun will basically meet the New Rural Standards in 2024.
