According to the Ministry of Health's announcement on the Covid-19 epidemic, today, May 13, the country recorded 1,738 new Covid-19 cases. Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had nearly 11.59 million Covid-19 cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. With a rate of 117,120 Covid-19 cases/million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories.

Health departments reported that on May 12, 825 patients were declared cured, with no deaths. Since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 10.632 million Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have been cured.
At treatment facilities, 75 patients are breathing oxygen. Of these, 65 cases are breathing oxygen through masks; 6 cases are breathing high-flow oxygen HFNC; 1 case is breathing non-invasively; 3 cases are breathing invasively.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 43,201 deaths from Covid-19 have been recorded in Vietnam, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections. The total number of deaths ranks 26th out of 231 countries and territories; the number of deaths per million people ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories. Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths ranks 7th out of 50 countries and territories; the number of deaths per million people ranks 29th out of 50 countries and territories.
Regarding the progress of Covid-19 vaccination, on May 12, 1,965 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were injected. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, more than 266.322 million doses have been injected to people nationwide. Of which, the number of doses injected for people aged 18 and over is more than 223.678 million; the number of doses injected for children aged 12-17 is nearly 24 million; the number of doses injected for children aged 5-11 is nearly 18.68 million.
