According to PhoneArena , this was made by member Unknown21 (also known as @URedditor) on X, when he said: "After the iPhone 15 series was announced, users may be disappointed that they do not have revolutionary features. I say it frankly, they are just mediocre and not worth it. Instead, the new iPhone 16 series is worth watching."
The iPhone 16 series is expected to bring many strong changes next year.
The regular iPhone 15 models will reportedly bring some interesting improvements this year, including the addition of a Dynamic Island and a 48MP stacked sensor for the wide-angle camera. They will also feature the 4nm A16 Bionic chip found in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro models will feature a new titanium frame and be powered by the 3nm A17 Bionic chip. Apple is said to be increasing the RAM on the new Pro devices to up to 8GB depending on the storage capacity on the phone. For the first time in history, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will also feature a periscope lens that will increase the phone's optical zoom from 3x to 6x.
All four iPhone 15 models will also get increased battery capacity and will feature a new USB-C port for charging and data transfer at the bottom of the device. It will replace the proprietary Lightning port introduced in 2012 on the iPhone 5, which replaced the unwieldy 30-pin port that Apple used on its first four generations of iPhones.
But next year's iPhone 16 is truly revolutionary, especially for those who prefer the high-end iPhone line. Bloomberg leaker Mark Gurman has said that next year's iPhone 16 Ultra will push a huge differentiation between the Pro model and the top-end model. And @URedditor says that Apple is "trying different things," which means there's something even more promising on the horizon.
Users can avoid buying the iPhone 15 series if they really want to find a breakthrough
PHONEARENA SCREENSHOT
Previous reports have suggested that the iPhone 16 Ultra will come with a larger 6.9-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.3-inch display, up from 6.2 inches. The iPhone 16 Pro's larger display size would also allow Apple to add a periscope lens to both high-end models next year. Not to mention, solid-state volume controls could also be introduced for the first time on high-end iPhone models next year.
For those on a budget, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are rumored to return to a vertical camera layout on the rear, a design that Apple hasn't used since the iPhone 12.
