To serve passengers buying tickets and traveling on urban railway line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) from January 21, Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Company No. 1 has provided detailed information on ticket types, payment methods and instructions on how to buy tickets and register for monthly train tickets.

Specifically, ticket prices according to Decision No. 5327/QD-UBND dated November 21, 2024 of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee:

One-way fares are calculated based on the passenger's travel distance: One-way fares paid in cash range from 7,000 - 20,000 VND; one-way fares paid without cash range from 6,000 - 19,000 VND.

Time-based ticket price (unlimited number of trips within the specified time): 1-day ticket price: 40,000 VND/person/ticket/day (unlimited number of trips within 1 day); 3-day ticket price: 90,000 VND/person/ticket/3 days (unlimited number of trips within 3 days).

Passengers buy Metro tickets conveniently and simply

Monthly ticket price for general passengers: 300,000 VND/person (unlimited number of trips within 30 days). Monthly ticket price for students: 150,000 VND/person (unlimited number of trips within 30 days).

Cases exempted from ticket prices include: People with revolutionary contributions according to the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment of People with Revolutionary Contributions; People with disabilities; Elderly people according to the current Law on the Elderly; Children under 6 years old.

One of the highlights of Metro Line 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien is the flexible payment and ticket purchase at the station through many forms. Accordingly, passengers can choose to use Mastercard to pay and go through the gate.

Notably, Mastercard is currently collaborating with Samsung and SamsungPay to deploy cashless payment items and ID card scanners and QR codes at ticket gates. The card-touch payment method will bring convenience to Metro passengers.

In addition to the convenient “one-touch” payment method, buying tickets in cash at the counter is also done quickly, ensuring the time for passengers to board the train and travel. At the Metro station, the management unit also installed a system of screens and information kiosks to guide ticket purchase and instructions on how to make cashless payments.
