Faced with that situation, the Market Management Department of Nghe An province has developed a peak plan No. 1011/KH-QLTTNA on combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin.
According to the inspection and assessment of Market Management Team No. 3, in Vinh City, the commodity market is stable, with a wide variety of goods and diverse designs, meeting the tastes and shopping needs of the people; prices are still stable, with no unusual fluctuations, no shortages, hoarding, or unreasonable price increases.

The leader of Market Management Team No. 3 said: Near Tet, the unit strengthens inspection, control, and timely handling of violations in transporting, trading, and trading counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin, smuggled goods, and goods violating food safety and hygiene. In particular, focusing on essential goods, used a lot during Tet, such as: food, cakes, candies, alcohol, soft drinks, etc.
In particular, during the implementation of the peak plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods before, during, and after the 2024 Lunar New Year, in Vinh City, Market Management Team No. 3 detected and handled 80 violations with a total fine of nearly 250 million VND. Typically, on the afternoon of December 18, Market Management Team No. 3 coordinated with the Economic and Environmental Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police to discover that a clean food company in Mai Loc Hamlet, Hung Dong Commune, Vinh City had 523 kg of frozen pork of unknown origin. The authorities administratively fined this company 34 million VND.

In particular, with the rising trend of online shopping, authorities recommend that when participating in online shopping, people should choose to buy from trading floors, e-commerce websites registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, reputable seller accounts on social networks Facebook, TikTok... with clear business locations, choose the payment method of joint inspection, when receiving goods, check the goods before paying...
