On the evening of August 20, U23 Indonesia entered the second match of Group B of the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 tournament against East Timor.

With the goal of winning big to keep the hope of moving on, U23 Indonesia poured troops into the attack right from the first minutes.
In the 24th minute, Sroyer dribbled hard before crossing the ball for Sananta to finish over the crossbar of the U23 East Timor goal.
