For 106 households, local authorities in Binh Dai and Ba Tri districts are focusing on propagating and mobilizing people to receive money to hand over land for the project.
Ba Lai 8 Bridge is part of the coastal road connecting Ben Tre - Tien Giang - Tra Vinh provinces, which has been approved by the Prime Minister in the road network planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 in Decision No. 1454/QD-TTg dated September 1, 2021.
Accordingly, Ba Lai 8 bridge is built with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete. The design speed is 80km/h.
The project has a total investment of about 2,255 billion VND, with central support capital of nearly 1,500 billion VND and local budget of more than 755 billion VND, to be implemented in 2023-2025. The Ben Tre Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is the investor.
According to Mr. Duc, the coastal road construction project connecting Ben Tre - Tien Giang - Tra Vinh provinces, in addition to Ba Lai 8 bridge, also includes bridges across large rivers such as Tien, Ham Luong and Co Chien rivers, creating an important coastal economic belt of the Eastern coastal sub-region, the Mekong Delta.
The route has a total length of more than 53km. When formed, it will contribute to the development of the inter-regional transport infrastructure system, enhance the ability to transport and circulate goods in coastal areas, and open up the possibility of economic integration between regions in the Mekong Delta and the whole country.
