Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision 1735/QD-TTg dated December 29, 2023 approving the Planning of Thai Binh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Accordingly, by 2030, Thai Binh will become a fairly developed locality. At the same time, the province will be one of the industrial development centers of the Red River Delta. By that time, Thai Binh will have a modern economic structure, with industry as the main driving force for rapid, comprehensive and sustainable growth.

Thai Binh has invested in synchronous and modern technical, social and urban infrastructure. Science, technology, innovation and knowledge economy have become factors to improve growth quality; strongly develop high-quality human resources of the locality.

Taking the tradition of rice granary to improve, Thai Binh still focuses on investment to make agriculture an important pillar in the economic development of the province, contributing to ensuring national food security. The locality will become the leading agricultural production center of the Red River Delta.

Therefore, Thai Binh focuses on developing and modernizing the production of agricultural, forestry and fishery products; perfecting the value chain of agricultural production in the province.

The province is determined to build concentrated agricultural production areas and apply high technology.

At the same time, focus on building agricultural product brands, expanding the consumption areas of agricultural products of the province; creating industry and regional linkages to promote sustainable, effective and highly competitive agricultural production development.

By 2050, Thai Binh will be a developed province in the Red River Delta; with a developed economy.

According to the vision to 2050, Thai Binh will develop industry in a modern direction, with advanced technology achieving high added value, participating deeply and comprehensively in the production network and global value chain, promoting potentials and strengths to become one of the industrial and energy development centers of the region.

Encourage investment in developing industries that have strengths and can create breakthroughs in the province such as: energy; mechanical processing and manufacturing; high-tech industry; electricity - electronics; processing of agricultural, forestry and fishery products... Continue to maintain light industries, create many jobs, ensure social security.

Thai Binh will focus on researching and developing wind power and gas power to create clean power sources and balance emissions; research and invest in building a condensate processing plant; prepare to build and put into operation the Thai Binh LNG Thermal Power Plant.

In the coming time, the province will stabilize and effectively operate two existing thermal power plants, while searching for alternative fuel sources to replace coal.
