Along with the wave of supply chain shifting to Southeast Asian countries, the investment of FDI enterprises in Vietnam has contributed to the formation of large production areas, increasing the demand for spare parts.
Seizing market opportunities, THACO INDUSTRIES Group under THACO has stepped up investment in developing supporting industries on a large scale, with modern technology, participating in the OEM component supply chain, providing optimal solutions and efficiency for FDI enterprises and boosting exports.
Take advantage, implement OEM component supply strategy
Based on nearly 20 years of manufacturing spare parts, THACO INDUSTRIES has gradually mastered technology, integrated advantages, and pioneered in participating in the complete OEM parts supply chain for FDI and export enterprises, serving a variety of fields such as automobiles, motorbikes, construction, industry, agriculture and civil.
Implementing the strategy of manufacturing and trading supporting industries according to a closed value chain, the Group has built an “All in one” model - providing design, product manufacturing, and consulting solutions for businesses. Customers can order the production of complete sets of components with a full package of services, instead of having to order from many suppliers as before.
The criteria for businesses when choosing an OEM company are technology and production capacity. THACO INDUSTRIES has a large production scale, with a total investment of more than 850 million USD, including: R&D Center, Mechanical Center and spare parts production area. The factories are equipped with modern technological lines that meet international standards such as: slitting - cutting line, Fiber laser cutting machine, 1000-ton hydraulic press, 5-axis bed milling machine, water cutting robot, painting robot, 3,200-ton plastic injection molding machine, automatic heat treatment line... The combination of technology and production and processing capacity of the factories has helped the Group complete the production chain from selecting raw materials to processing, molding, manufacturing, painting, and final assembly.
For the domestic market, with the advantage of being in THACO's industrial ecosystem, there are many supporting industries such as logistics, automobile manufacturing and assembly, etc. THACO INDUSTRIES has optimized production and business efficiency, saving transportation costs and time for partners, helping businesses to be self-sufficient in components, avoiding supply chain disruptions.
Regarding export, foreign partners often place high demands on the quality of components. Investing in the largest R&D center in Vietnam with a team of highly specialized engineers and a modern design and simulation software system, THACO INDUSTRIES is capable of researching drawings and developing products to meet the specific requirements of customers. At the same time, focusing on strict quality control at each stage of production to ensure the standards: ISO 14001:2015, ISO 19001:2015, IATF 16949:2016...
Supplying domestic and export components, deeply participating in the global value chain
THACO INDUSTRIES has achieved the dual goal of being both a domestic level 1 and 2 OEM component supplier and an exporter, penetrating many "difficult" markets in the world.
As a partner of many large enterprises, THACO INDUSTRIES understands the requirements, production processes and quality control of OEM components according to global standards. The Group is supplying components for domestic automobile and motorbike brands such as: Toyota, Isuzu, Hyundai, Piaggio...; household electronic appliances, furniture, construction equipment, industrial plastics, labor protection, agricultural materials for Makitech, Amann, Sharp...
In particular, THACO INDUSTRIES also exports OEM components such as: Racing car seat frames, leaf springs, radiators, truck bodies, specialized tank tanks, truck cranes, body shells, seat covers, trunks, pickup truck chassis frames, coolers, plastic tanks, hydroponic plastic pipes... to key markets such as: North America, Northern Europe, Australia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Cambodia, Israel. In 2022, the Group's export revenue was nearly 190 million USD and the plan for 2023 is more than 375 million USD. Expanding the domestic market and exporting diverse products has helped the Group gradually participate deeply in the global value chain.
It is expected that in 2023, THACO INDUSTRIES will spend more than 1,250 billion VND to invest in upgrading production technology, expanding factory scale; developing more projects to produce industrial and civil components such as: Manufacturing and assembling circuit boards, pressure casting aluminum, metal casting, hot stamping... At the same time, investing in mechanical and supporting industrial parks in the North and South to integrate advantages, optimize logistics costs, and improve the operational efficiency of the value chain.
In the coming time, the Group will strengthen connections with Associations such as: VAMI, VASI, HAMEE, EUROCHAM, GBA... to develop business; research cooperation trends between major economies such as: US, China, Australia, Japan, Canada, EU to access potential markets.
With the strategy of promoting the supply of components in the form of OEM, THACO INDUSTRIES is creating a positive change for the country's supporting industry, increasing domestic production value, affirming the quality of Vietnamese spare parts products in the world.
