Hue - From March 19, Vietnam Railways officially opened ticket sales for the Hue - Da Nang tourist train to serve people and tourists between the two localities.

From March 26, 2024, Vietnam Railways Corporation will coordinate with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city to operate tourist trains on the Hue - Da Nang section and vice versa in the form of transport business combined with tourism service exploitation. Every day, Vietnam Railways Corporation will organize 2 pairs of trains with code numbers HD1/2 and HD3/4 between Hue - Da Nang with the name "Connecting Central Heritage". Specifically, in Hue, train HD1 departs from Hue station at 7:45 am and arrives at Da Nang station at 10:35 am; while train HD3 departs from Hue station at 2:25 pm and arrives at Da Nang at 5:40 pm. Meanwhile, in Da Nang, train HD2 departs from Da Nang station at 7:50 am and arrives at Hue station at 11:05 am; while train HD4 departs from Da Nang station at 3:00 pm and arrives at Hue station at 5:45 pm. On the opening day, Vietnam Railways will run a pair of trains HD1 departing from Hue and HD4 departing from Da Nang. On the way, the trains will stop at Lang Co Station for 10 minutes for visitors to admire the beauty, check-in, and take photos of Lang Co Bay - one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Initially, the train will have 5 soft-seat cars with air conditioning and 1 community car serving local cultural and culinary programs... The preferential ticket price applied during the opening month is 150,000 VND/ticket; monthly ticket price is 900,000 VND/ticket (monthly tickets purchased at stations only) and a discount of 10% - 50% for passengers who are policy beneficiaries. The Hue - Da Nang train coming into operation contributes to connecting traffic between the two localities, aiming to exploit tourism services, bringing interesting experiences to the Central Vietnam travel itinerary.
