On the morning of December 21, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, term XIV, 2019 - 2024, held the 13th Conference, term 2019 - 2024 to implement a number of important contents.
Attending the conference were comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee chaired the conference.
Innovation in the way of working
With the "core" role in promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, in 2023, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels of Nghe An province proactively and strongly innovated the content and methods of operation, achieving many remarkable results.
Notably, under the leadership of the appeal and mobilization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations, agencies, units, enterprises, volunteer groups, philanthropists and people from all walks of life have directly and indirectly supported the implementation of social security programs with a total value of over 872 billion VND.
From the appeal, timely support was given to build and repair 7,245 houses for the poor and those with housing difficulties; support for 799 poor households in medical examination and treatment; support for means of production for 266 households. Well performed the function of social supervision and criticism for Party organizations and government agencies; supported 2,470 poor students to go to school; organized gift giving to over 188 thousand poor households, near-poor households, policy households, and people in difficult circumstances.
During the year, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial People's Committee chaired the organization of the summary of 20 years of implementing the Provincial National Great Unity Day; organized the "Solidarity Day" Program in 2023, with a series of meaningful activities.
The provincial Fatherland Front left a strong impression through organizing the Forum "Listening to the voice of the grassroots Front" between the Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and the team of people working at the grassroots Front; Organizing the contest "Excellent provincial-level community investment supervision board"...
The Fatherland Front at all levels has performed well the function of supervision and social criticism of Party organizations and government agencies. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has issued documents on leadership of the Fatherland Front Congress at all levels for the 2024-2029 term. Up to now, many commune-level units have organized model congresses.
In addition, the Fatherland Front has many breakthroughs and innovations in digital transformation of the Front's work from the province to the grassroots level. Propaganda work, grasping the thoughts and aspirations of the people and voters have many innovations; effectively promoting the Nghe An Front Fanpage, with more than 170 thousand followers, is the community page with the largest number of followers in the Fatherland Front system nationwide, achieving a green tick.
The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee achieved the title of "Typical Cultural Standard Agency" for the period 2018-2022; was classified as Excellently Completing Tasks by the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council and was awarded the Emulation Flag in 2023.
Focus on directing the Congress of the Fatherland Front at all levels
Praising the results achieved in 2023, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu suggested that in 2024, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province continue to innovate propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of people from all walks of life; Improve the quality and effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns.
Continue to effectively implement the program of mobilizing and supporting the construction of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties; innovate social supervision and criticism activities; strengthen people-to-people diplomacy activities.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu suggested that the Provincial Fatherland Front should focus on directing the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term to ensure solemnity, thrift, practicality, efficiency, and on schedule.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested that, in the immediate future, the Provincial Fatherland Front needs to focus on coordinating and directing to speed up the progress so that poor people can receive their houses early, in time to welcome the Spring of Giap Thin; and implement the Tet Program for the Poor in the Spring of Giap Thin in 2024.
At the conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province approved the Decision of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on recognizing comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of non-professional Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.
On this occasion, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded Emulation Flags to units with outstanding achievements leading the emulation movement in 2023.
