On the evening of May 11, in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, towards the 55th anniversary of the day Uncle Ho sent his last letter to the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee (July 21, 1969 - July 21, 2024), 55 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969 - 2024), Nghe An province solemnly opened the 2024 Sen Village Festival.
Attending the opening ceremony, the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security included General To Lam - Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security and comrades in the Central Public Security Party Committee, leaders of departments and professional units of the Ministry of Public Security.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Ho An Phong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Major General Phan Van Sy - Deputy Chief of Politics of Military Region 4.

Every May, on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, Nghe An province solemnly organizes the Lotus Village Festival. The 42nd Lotus Village Festival in 2024 takes place from May 8 to June 9, with many exciting and meaningful activities, concentrated in Nam Dan district, Vinh city: Flower offering ceremony, incense offering, reporting achievements, commemorating Uncle Ho; Lotus Village Singing Festival with the participation of more than 600 artists and actors from 20 mass art troupes of districts, cities and towns in Nghe An province.
The provincial volleyball and traditional martial arts tournaments; the “Journey to Sen Village” Marathon attracted thousands of domestic and foreign athletes. In particular, the impressive highlight of this year’s festival is the participation of the Song and Dance Theater with the brass band, the ceremonial team and the Cavalry team of the Ministry of Public Security in the opening program tonight. The participation of artists and actors from the city named after Uncle Ho in the closing program on May 19 with the theme “From Sen Village to Ho Chi Minh City”, the street performance program “Homeland in the blooming lotus season”.
This will be an opportunity to introduce and promote to the whole country and international friends about Nghe An culture, about the land and people of Nghe An, dynamic, friendly, always open to opportunities for cooperation and development.
Coming to the Sen Village Festival, in addition to expressing their sincere feelings to Uncle Ho, visitors from all over the world and all people will have the opportunity to visit and preserve many impressive and meaningful moments and memories with many historical and cultural relics and unique tourist attractions in the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Sen Village Festival, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed: The annual Sen Village Festival has become an important political and cultural event; thereby, helping us understand more deeply his life and revolutionary career, contributing to further promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, promoting the tradition of patriotism, the morality of "when drinking water, remember its source", building the great national unity bloc for the cause of a rich people, a strong country, a democratic, equitable and civilized society.
In particular, this year marks the 55th anniversary of the day Uncle Ho sent his last letter to the Party Executive Committee of Nghe An province, the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament; there are 4 things Uncle Ho instructed in the letter "What to do next", with the wish "I sincerely hope that the people and comrades of the province will strive to make Nghe An soon become one of the best provinces in the North".
“Uncle Ho's advice is a guideline, a source of motivation, a great source of strength for the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An to promote the revolutionary spirit, concentrate resources, overcome difficulties and challenges, to successfully carry out Uncle Ho's will, and soon turn Nghe An into a prosperous province in the North and the whole country”, emphasized the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.
On this occasion, on behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung expressed his gratitude to General To Lam - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies for their special affection, attention and valuable help to Nghe An province over the past time. The Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee thanked the groups and individuals who participated in the festival, especially the soldiers and actors of the Ministry of Public Security and the artists and actors of Ho Chi Minh City with their outstanding performances. He also thanked TH Group and Sao Vang Beer, Alcohol and Beverage Corporation for accompanying the festival.
Immediately after the opening speech was the art program "Vietnamese Sun" directed by the People's Committee of Nghe An province, the Ministry of Public Security; directed by the Department of Culture, Sports of Nghe An, the Department of Party and Political Affairs of the Ministry of Public Security, and the Nghe An Provincial Police. The performing units included: Nghe An Traditional Arts Center, People's Public Security Music and Dance Theater, and the People's Public Security Ceremonial Band.
The art program includes 3 chapters: Chapter I: Lotus blooming in the night sky, Chapter II: Vietnamese sun and Chapter III: The homeland sings forever about you.
This is an art program that bears a deep impression of the homeland's love for Uncle Ho and Uncle Ho's love for his homeland and country. The desire for freedom, the noble sacrifice, dedicating his whole life to the country and the people. The program is a connection between songs and excerpts, folk songs and scenes performed continuously, both majestic and powerful but also subtle and profound, expressing the most sincere respect and affection for beloved Uncle Ho.
