On the morning of February 14, 26 districts, towns and cities under Thanh Hoa province held military enlistment ceremonies for 2025.

Thanh Hoa Province Military Command said that this year, more than 4,000 citizens aged 18-21 joined the army and went to training units. Of these, 3,652 citizens were assigned to the Army by local authorities, and 487 citizens were assigned to the Ministry of Public Security.
Among the citizens participating in military service, there are two female citizens; 19 citizens with wives and 14 citizens with children. Citizens joining the army are assigned to 14 military receiving units of the Ministry of National Defense, including: Army Corps 12; Air Defense - Air Force; Navy; Provincial Border Guard Command; Capital Command; Academy of Politics; Academy of Military Medicine; General Department of Engineering; General Staff; Army Officer School 1; General Department of Logistics; Division 324; Brigade 206 and Regiment 762, Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh and leaders of Military Region 4 and the Provincial Military Command encouraged young people of Thanh Hoa City to join the army.
Statistics show that the proportion of citizens joining the army is mainly Kinh ethnic group (accounting for 70.76%), the rest are Muong, Thai, Dao, Tho, San Diu, Kho Mu, Catholic, and Protestant ethnic groups.
The number of party members joining the army is much higher than in previous years (839 comrades, reaching 22.9%), 726 young people have attended the party sympathy training class; nearly 700 young people have written applications to volunteer for the army. The proportion of young people graduating from high school is 66.8%, the proportion of young people graduating from university, college and vocational school is 191, reaching nearly 6%; the proportion of young people from ethnic minorities joining the army is 29.24%.

Actual records show that this morning, in Thanh Hoa City; Sam Son City; Quang Xuong District; Quan Hoa... people came to the ceremony locations early in the morning. Many people brought flowers and carried their children to see their loved ones off to join the army... tears and lingering handshakes created emotional moments during the ceremony.

Nghe An: Many students put down their pens and study to join the army
More than 3,000 citizens in Nghe An province joined the army, among them many were party members, university and college graduates, many had just passed the university entrance exam but still put down their pens to join the army.
On the morning of February 14, Nghe An province simultaneously held military handover ceremonies in 20 districts, cities and towns, sending off the homeland's outstanding sons to their duty of building and defending the Fatherland.
This year, Nghe An province has more than 3,000 citizens joining the army.

This year, Vinh City has 192 young men enlisting in the Vietnam People's Army and 27 young men joining the People's Public Security service. 100% of the young men meet the health and political quality requirements.
In terms of educational level, there are 16 young people with university degrees, 1 young person with college degrees, and 3 young people with intermediate degrees.
Mr. Dang Van Hung (54 years old, Nghi Thai commune, Vinh city) proudly said: Dang Anh Quan (18 years old), the only son in the family, just passed the Finance Academy exam with 27 points but he decided to volunteer to join the army (Mr. Hung's family photo).
Today, our whole family, including our 5-month-old grandchild, were present to see our son off to his duty. Our family is proud to have a son who is a soldier of Uncle Ho's army.
New recruit Dang Anh Quan (Mr. Hung's son) shared: My paternal and maternal grandfathers were soldiers. Following the family tradition, I volunteered to join the army.
Meanwhile, rookie Phan Bao An (born in 2002, just graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Finance and Marketing) shared: To have the life we have today, we always realize that building and protecting the Fatherland is the responsibility of every citizen. In particular, joining the army and police to protect the Fatherland is the responsibility and duty of our youth.
On behalf of 219 new recruits in Vinh City, Bao An promises to continuously study, practice, improve knowledge, skills, and courage, overcome all difficulties and hardships, and compete to achieve the highest achievements during his time serving in the military.
