Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province issued Decision No. 1636 on temporary suspension of work for management officials.

The content clearly states that Mr. Bui Van Huan (born in 1979), Principal of the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (PTDTNT) of Sa Pa Town Secondary and High School, Lao Cai Province, is temporarily suspended from work.

The reason for temporary suspension is to verify and clarify the reflection on the shortcomings and limitations in the management work of the Principal. The temporary suspension period is 7 days.

Assign Mr. Hoang Minh Phuong, Vice Principal of Sa Pa Town Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School to be in charge of directing the school's activities during the temporary suspension of Mr. Bui Van Huan from work.

Also on October 22, the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province established an inspection team led by the Department's leader to inspect and directly instruct the school and Mr. Bui Van Huan to write a report explaining and reviewing the management work related to the information content reported by Vietnam Television, and at the same time directing the organization to immediately overcome the existing shortcomings.

By the afternoon of the same day, the electrical system had been repaired, additional light bulbs had been installed in the dormitory rooms (with a total of 55 rooms, each room had 2 light bulbs, ensuring lighting); 2 water taps had been installed according to the design/each room; the power source had been connected to the water heaters of the 5 bathrooms that were still in use and 2 water heaters in the teachers' dormitory duty room to immediately solve the problem of hot water for students to use; a large capacity water purifier (250 liters/hour) had been installed to ensure sufficient daily drinking water supply for students.

The inspection team also requested the school to propagate and instruct students not to use natural water sources for drinking; coordinate with functional units to ensure school health care for students and teachers; and request the school to immediately work with the unit providing daily meals for students in accordance with regulations.

Also today (October 22), Sa Pa City Party Committee conducted an inspection of the responsibility of leaders in school management.
