The Traffic Police Team of Vinh City Police (Nghe An Province) arrested a driver who violated alcohol concentration, drove in the wrong direction, and crashed into a working group on duty.

Accordingly, on the night of January 21, a working group of the Traffic Police Team was on duty to patrol, control, and handle traffic violations on Tran Phu Street (Vinh City).

At around 8:00 p.m. the same day, the task force signaled to stop a red car with license plate number 37K-270.92 driven by Mr. Phan Cong Doan (born in 1982) to conduct a breathalyzer test. However, the driver did not comply with the traffic police's signal and instead turned around and drove in the opposite direction on Tran Phu Street.

The task force approached the car and signaled for it to stop, but the driver still did not comply and even rushed straight at the officer standing in front. Luckily, the task force was able to avoid the car from coming towards them.

While driving in the wrong direction, driver Doan drove through many streets in Vinh city. The task force controlled the subject on Chu Van An street and brought him to the headquarters for questioning.

The alcohol test results showed that driver Doan violated the level of 0.399 mg/L of breath.

Initially, driver Doan confessed that he was a lieutenant in the army.

Vinh City Police Department is consolidating the case file to transfer to the investigation agency of Region 2, Military Region 4 for investigation and handling according to authority.
