The work "Flying up to Vietnam" won first prize in the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said that since the contest was launched in June 2023, after 4 months, the contest has attracted the participation of more than 7,000 photo and video works. From there, the Organizing Committee has selected 28 works for awards and 70 photo works, 14 video works for exhibition.

On the Vietnam.vn platform, over 90 million people have viewed these 7,000 works, of which over 40% are from abroad. Some works have been viewed by over half a million people. These are very large numbers, surprising even the organizers.

Each work is a unique perspective, a unique moment, an interesting story, a beauty, a reflection that life, Heaven and Earth bestow upon humans, if not recorded at that exact moment, at that exact place, it will be lost. And if not recorded, it will be a loss.

“The greatest strength is always the strength of the people. The greatest creativity is always the creativity of the people. The greatest vitality is always the vitality of the people. 7,000 photos and videos of Vietnamese people across the country are vivid proof of the strength, creativity and vitality of the people,” the Minister emphasized.

The Minister affirmed that digital technology and digital platforms have created conditions for every citizen, no matter where they are, with a smartphone and 4G/5G coverage, to be creative and contribute their voice to create a Vietnam of the people.

"Our Party and State always create favorable conditions for people to participate, contribute, and promote their capacity and intelligence in the cause of national construction, development, and integration. The people's strength has been gathered with the aspiration for a strong, prosperous, prosperous, and happy Vietnam," Minister Nguyen Manh Hung shared.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that "Happy Vietnam" is not only a contest, a program but also "a festival of Vietnamese people speaking up about a happy life. That happiness appears in every house, every field, every village, every street. That happiness belongs to them because they themselves have created that happiness and they themselves speak up about that happiness".

The Organizing Committee and the Jury, who are experts from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the Vietnam Cinema Association, gave very fair scores and announced the 28 best works that won the contest. Of which, the First Prize in the Photo category went to the work Flying to Vietnam by author Bui Cuong Quyet; the First Prize in the Video category went to the work Da Nang - City of Biodiversity by author Nguyen Thanh Paven.
